Representation

Angelou Centre Staff and Trustees currently represent the organisation and BME women on a number of local, regional and national forums and management boards. To enable change that improves BME women’s lives and safety at individual and structural levels, the Angelou Centre believes that it is important to ensure the voices of BME women and our service users are heard at every level. We currently serve on the following forums and boards:

  • National Home Office Underrepresented Groups Forum
  • Newcastle Safeguarding Board
  • FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) Newcastle Pathways Forum
  • Children and Young People’s Domestic Abuse Forum
